Stamboul Train

An unusual story told in brilliant prose. If you can overlook some non PC language you will understand the difference in a past era where class and attitude governed every day life.

brilliant story

Graham Greene is a master story teller. this is a fast paced and intricate story of a few passengers on a train from England to Istanbul.
the plot keeps one guessing. as usual Greene is quite cynical about all the characters but in a very realistic way.
it is very well read at breakneck speed as the train rushes along.
