Publisher's Summary
The world waits for no one. While Boxxy is off chasing shinies and delving dungeons abroad, Azurvale's shadows churn, fester, and ferment into a potent cocktail of trouble. Secret organizations maneuver behind the scenes, patiently advancing their nefarious plots. Government agencies lay in wait, ready to pounce at the first sign of trouble. Powerful adventurers gear up and train for the next challenge, uncertain as to what form it might take. In the midst of all this, a humble scholar arrives from a distant land wholly ignorant to the mountain-sized powder keg waiting for him. Explosives primed and the fuse set, the only thing missing is a spark to set things off, and who better to serve that role than a fiery redhead making her triumphant return?
It would appear that the universe once again conspires to put the Hero of Chaos in dire straits. However, in this particular instance, Boxxy is not entirely without fault. It doesn't know it yet, but the nasty surprises that await it are nothing more than the consequences of its own actions. As it turns out, butting heads with the seedy underbelly of civilized society has a way of stirring up an immense amount of trouble. Boxxy is aware of this, of course, though it doesn't care since it fancies itself an expert at deflecting blame and avoiding responsibility. For the most part, this is an accurate assessment. Unfortunately for the less-than-a-year-old monster, it has yet to learn one of life's key lessons.
Bad karma is like a stubborn stain—it never truly goes away.

As good as it gets!!!
Best production is ELLC series so far, Jeff and the crew at Soundbooth have gone above and beyond for this book. I was rather sceptical over some of the sound design choices for the last few books but was honestly blown away by how well Stain turned out.
My only gripe was corny as hell Gryphon screeches done by one of the cast instead of using a sound effect, it was pure cringe and it stood out so much because of how truly amazing the final chapters were.
I can't wait until Jackson, I'm pretty sure I'll have to go find the cold readings before then.

Great voice work and special effects
Top story again and masterful narration my only gripe was when there was music and repetitive background noise at times that really didn't need any punctuation performance wise. but overall loved it can't wait for more

The climax of a long awaited build up
Read this series! It is my favourite audio book series.
In terms of this specific book, kind of a spoiler... we finally have the confrontation with Edward from the Guilded Hand in this book. It is a satisfying end to that saga of Boxy's story. Can't wait to find out what Boxy gets up to next!

Best book yet
The quality of these books just keeps increasing. The story is powering on nicely and really shines in combat with the music and sign design.
I’d highly recommend the book and the series.

One of the best in the series so far
Boxxy's adventure continues, this time around a good variety of locations and we are introduced to some interesting new characters as well as a welcome return of a few familiar faces. A stellar performance by Soundbooth Theatre as always, they only seem to get better with each book with an extensive voice cast, immersive sound production and of course talented narration by Jeff.

Blown away by how absolutely perfect it is.
I can not express in words how we’ll they’ve done producing this audiobook, I read the original on royal road and had pretty high expectations and they absolutely smashed it. The audio effects throughout the whole book were really good and my personal favourite is near the end. I ended up rewinding the last chapters a few times because I kept getting distracted and not listening to the actual story. Can’t wait for the next one!!
