About this listen
Having successfully driven off an assault and freed captives of Kelvanis, Sistina begins fortifying to defend those she cares about from further attacks. Yet with all her power within her halls, she cannot grant those under her protection true freedom. To truly bring hope to her love, Sistina must delve into who she once was, and bring forth every scrap of magic she has to become a shining beacon of hope.
Sadly, Kelvanis' plans are only mildly impeded by her efforts up until now, and they will stop at nothing to bring their ends about. The only question is, whose side is time on?

Good Continuation
I'd like to say I really enjoyed both the first and second books. The characters have, for the most part, been believable and have their own motivations and personalities. The plotline is good and usually drops enough teasers to keep you waiting to see what happens. Finally the world is great, in the sense each area has a culture and you see how they interact.
This book only gets 4 stars for story because it felt some events could have been better. I do stress that I enjoyed it, but there are some abrupt changes which could have used a bit more discussion or exploration before they took place. Also certain characters which also appeared don't seem to serve a purpose *yet*, or if they do, it seems more as an extension to discuss a faction we otherwise wouldn't see much of.
I'm very fond of the perceived "good" factions not always coming out victorious, or defeat in the ways expected. Makes the conflicts we see very enjoyable.
Good second book! If enjoyed the first, you'll enjoy the second.
