Reply to “progreshen fantasy”

The speed running is explained many times as is the soulless perspective of the mc.

The dude is a literal god, speed running the levels of cultivation to simply prevent him dying or going insane from boredom.

Good book interesting story, although it seems to follow a few regression fantasy tropes, I was expecting more peon stomping earlier in the book

Mc isn’t over powered for the situations he’s in

Quite enjoyed this

MC is powerful but doesn't feel completely overpowered, progression is at a nice pace and there's good writing. Didn't expect any major emotion from the MC and there really isn't any so don't expect any deep character arcs.

An okay LitRPG

The story's okay, but the characters are rather bland and feel like tropes instead of fleshed-out characters even after half the ebook has gone by, the main character is constantly going on about how he's so awesome the self-aggrandising honestly is cringy more often than not.
Despite what the title promises the story is slow-paced with the first 10 hours being mostly set up.
The narration is okay the guy uses clear separate voices for different characters, but is phrone to whistling occasionally as he talks which can blow out headphones, it doesn't happen often enough to put me off the narration but it would have been 4 stars otherwise..
All around the story started strongly, but slowly lost quality as it went on.

was expecting an apathetic god got a crap speedrunner instead

when going into this book i was expecting an apathetic god foing themost amoral shit to get the best speedrun times imaginable
a sort of guilty pleasure power fantasy about an asshole

instead i got a god who acts like a teenager constantly loses to their own emotions and is actively crap at speedrunning

if i was in his shoes i would have instantly gutted myself to try for a better seed for my run
