About this listen
"Captain's log... we're doomed."
Captain Vance Turbo of the E.S.S Ares has managed to save the entire universe and gotten himself a big fat promotion for it. However, that doesn't mean much as he's just received a message that his daughter is in peril! His daughter that he didn't know about because she was cooked up in a lab by his ex-girlfriend. Knowing he can't take his ship on a personal vendetta, Vance decides to charter a pirate ship to head to the distant tyranny of Crius. Unfortunately, his journey isn't exactly a secret and he finds himself ambushed. Ambushed by someone Vance never thought he'd see again.
Space Academy is an all-new series from the hilarious duo of C.T. Phipps (Supervillainy Saga, Agent G) and Michael Suttkus (I Was a Teenage Weredeer, Lucifer's Star) that lampoons the space opera as well as military science fiction genres.

Die Hard in Space!
This series just keeps getting better and better! Continuing straight on from the cliffhanger revelation in the last book that Vance has a daughter, and who is in danger, Vance and his crew of usual suspects have to go rogue to bring her back.
It was a really fantastic, really fast paced story that kept me excited and hanging on, with every twist, turn and revelation of long dead folks with every chapter (no spoilers).
42 and Trish(es) were my favorite characters, solely due to their humor, wit amd their offbeat personalities, although even some of the antagonists were pretty memorable.
The action was really well done, and there was a ton of it, even compared to previous books.
All of these things helped to put this as one of the best books I've read all year, and somehow the best (so far) of this series!
