Publisher's Summary

This is the second collection in the Soporific Stories for All Ages series. Included in this volume are two stories. The first is "A Turtle on the Train Tracks", and the second is "The Great Mistake by the Front Yard Gate". Both stories are Soporific Stories, which means they are meant to put you to sleep.

Our first story, "A Turtle on the Train Tracks", follows an old turtle with an old ambition. He wants to see the swamp that lies beyond the raised train tracks. He has been waiting for decades. Only a massive flood will allow him to cross those tracks, and an impressive storm is brewing.

Our second story, "The Great Mistake by the Front Yard Gate", is told in rhyme. Our narrator arrives home after dark and cannot open the front yard gate. Something is blocking it. You would never guess what it is. You would never guess where it ends up.

These are two pleasant stories to be listened to again and again until they become innocent, sleepy friends. Let them tuck you in.
