About this listen

Like father, like son?

Vera Harlow is a survivor. After a chance encounter led to her being held captive in a disgusting house of horrors, she fought tooth and nail to escape the clutches of a man known only as The Slob. But while she may have fled the disastrous situation, the details of her struggle are now carved into her flesh and soul.

Vera’s son is the product of utter depravity. Harold, the sinister seed left by the man who took everything from her, continues to blossom in nauseating fashion. His features and habits are stomach-churning, vividly familiar, and becoming more disturbing by the day. Determined to coax out the bright side of her child that she sees an occasional glimpse of, Vera strives for normalcy. But will the faint light she’s chasing shine through the darkness, or will she be left cleaning up another gruesome mess?

The sequel to Aron Beauregard's Splatterpunk Award-nominated work of depravity, The Slob, will bring you back to the forefront of filth and carnage with a unique and terrifying new trajectory.

Terrifying Sequel

This sequel was actually better than I expected, I did enjoy the story line and was glad to hear more of Veras story after The Slob, I experienced many emotions through out, happiness, sadness and heartbreak. I’m sad it’s over. Awesome read.

A worthy sequel

I think this my fourth or fifth book by Aron Beauragard, I have found all that I’ve read this far most enjoyable and able to appease my voracious hunger for extreme horror. The Slob had some truly unique and thoroughly disgusting moments that I thought would be very hard to top, and although I don’t think he quite got there, I’d say I actually enjoyed this story and the characters more. I’d like to make special mention of the narrator on the Audible version of this book, she was absolutely fantastic and made the story even more enjoyable! Definitely worth your time and I’ll be back for more of Aron’s work soon enough for sure.
