About this listen
From the New York Times best-selling author of Something Borrowed comes a novel that shows how someone with a "perfect life" can lose it all - and then find everything.
Darcy Rhone thought she had it all figured out: the more beautiful the girl, the more charmed her life. Never mind substance. Never mind playing by the rules. Never mind karma.
But Darcy's neat, perfect world turns upside down when her best friend, Rachel, the plain-Jane “good girl,” steals her fiancé, while Darcy finds herself completely alone for the first time in her life... with a baby on the way.
Darcy tries to recover, fleeing to her childhood friend living in London and resorting to her tried-and-true methods for getting what she wants. But as she attempts to recreate her glamorous life on a new continent, Darcy finds that her rules no longer apply. It is only then that Darcy can begin her journey toward self-awareness, forgiveness, and motherhood.
Something Blue is a novel about one woman's surprising discoveries about the true meaning of friendship, love, and happily-ever-after. It's a novel for anyone who has ever, even secretly, wondered if the last thing you want is really the one thing you need.

Was ok
I found the storyline a bit unbelievable. Had I of not read something borrowed then I could see the ending more than I can now

I couldn't stop listening!
I only read non-fiction books, I enjoy learning rather than being entertained. However, I decided to get this book after watching the film 'Something Borrowed'. I love romance films and was eager to find out what happened next. I googled to see if a sequel had been made and was devastated to learn that they hadn't the budget. My disappointment turned to joy when I found there was a book. So I purchased my first novel in over 3 decades.
I so glad I did, I laughed and cried along the whole way, unable to stop listening. The writing cleaver, romantic without being crass. Storyline a sensational tale full of life lessons. The narrator brilliant in her presentation. If you loved the film, or just love a true romantic tale then this is for you!

Great Escapism
Well read and a quality plot and character. Sequel to Something Borrowed and changes perspective to enrich both books. An engaging listen.

MEH
Darcy is still unlikable, the ending is obvious yet unlikely. A mildly entertaining story however.

Extremely unlikeable main character
The story was ok but I really struggled through about 90% of the book due to how much I could not stand Darcy. She only really redeems herself in the last 3 chapters. I almost didn’t finish but persevered in the hope that she would eventually stop irritating me so much, and she did get there in the end but it almost wasn’t worth it
