About this listen

In May 2003, the country was gripped by the fate of arctic explorer Pen Hadow, stranded with diminishing supplies on the ice cap after successfully reaching the Pole.

Hadow was the first man to reach the North Pole alone and unsupported via the arduous Canadian route. Despite severe setbacks, he walked, skiied and swam for two months to fulfill a lifetime's dream.

Solo is the gripping, inspirational autobiography of a true British hero.

incredible, a must read book.

An incredible story of tenacity, 9f never goving up and always following your dreams.

whether you are an explorer, an explorer in training or erhaps an arm chair explorer who has a passion for the outdoors, for adventure and for anyone who dreams of whitlandscapes, unchartered territories, feats of human performance that are incredible.

This book is a must read, I couldn't turn the audio book off, a man who never gave up on his dreams and is an inspiration for those of us on training to get to the poles

Thank you for sharing your story, the highs and the lows. The book had me hooked right until the very end.

Does he reach the Pole? Does he finally achieve a life long goal. You will just have to read the book to see.
