The language was so poetic, at times raw, but either way, bore straight into my heart!
Loved this book so much! Can’t described how excruciatingly beautiful the prose was or how the story line just gripped me. Amazing and def worth the read.

Beautiful
Wonderfully written and narrated. It is sure to resonate with new (and not so new) mothers

Such raw emotion.
Brilliantly evocative. I absolutely loved Soldier Sailor. A deep dive into the blackness that is postnatal depression, and the strength needed to climb back out. An honest interpretation of early parenthood.

Beautiful in every way
This is one of the most beautiful stories I have read in a long time. Somehow the writer manages to capture the agony and the ecstasy that comes with motherhood. She also manages to add a lot of black humour that balances out the extreme emotions. To top it off, the narrator has a soothing and lyrical voice that does so much justice to this moving story.

So very dull
I rarely wish for books to be over, but this was painful. It had one point to make which was laboured.
