It was just a random mutation - one of a billion that happen in viruses every day. But this one was different. It exploded out of Somalia and spread across the oceans before anybody thought to look up from their cell phones to see what was going on.
The infected breathed the virus into the air around them, spreading it through the cities faster than anyone thought possible. Hospitals were overwhelmed. Police lines crumbled. Quarantine sites disintegrated. Cities started to collapse.
Through the chaos, some, like Zed Zane, discovered the virus wasn't going to kill them, but change them. Change them into something different, and leave them in a world where the word "survival" took on an older, more brutal meaning.

Best apocalypse story EVER!!!
What the f@#k...
This was a epic ride. From the beginning it was action packed, sweaty palmed savagery. The only thing lacking is the fact that it ended.
So don't be a Russell and stand there.

amazing value even better story
this series has been one of my most favourite stories I've ever read/listened too, had my grip in suspense from the first moments till the last. definitely one once you start you just don't want to stop! I finished listening to all 55 hours in a little less than a week it was so riveting.

intriguing story that draws you into the story
could have stopped listening after the fist couple of chapters but the narrator drew us into the story and then loved it could put the book down. sad that the sorry had to end awesome story and fantastically narratored.

Binged 50hrs of this book
I was looking for something to fill the void after listening to the Mountain man series and this book did not disappoint.

Wow great books, great read, great story

Pure pulpy goodness
Fast plot, well thought out world, and the people deal with the horror in a believable mix of emotions. The world beyond the POV character continues at its own brutal pace.
