About this listen
It’s January 1941, and the Blitz is devastating England. As America maintains its isolationist position, Churchill knows that Britain is doomed without its powerful ally.
Harry Hopkins, President Roosevelt’s most trusted adviser, is sent to London as his emissary and comes face to face with the prime minister himself and an attractive and determined young female driver who may not be what she seems.

Interesting from first sentence to the last.
Loved the simple but moving story based in the early struggles of WW11 and Churchills lone fight against the axis powers especially his efforts to get the support of the Americans. Would love to see more novels by this author.

Highly recommended
A fanciful historical novel with convincing facts to make this an excellent read. Much is still yet to be uncovered about FDR, Harry Hopkins and the dark years of the early 40's in wartorn England during its darkest days. Macmanus is a Gifted historical fiction writer and the Audible production is superbly narrated.
