About this listen

From the incomparable New York Times best-selling author Bertrice Small comes a heroine as breathtaking as she is legendary.

Indomitable and bold in an era of royalty and rogues, Skye O'Malley is a woman who embraces her unbridled sensuality as valiantly as she fights for her children, her lovers, her empire. A woman of justice and honor, she will match wits with and challenge the most dangerous and powerful woman of her time: Queen Elizabeth I.

Though Skye is the object of every man's fantasy, only a handful have had the thrill of tasting her enticing passions - men whose own daring adventures match her exotic forays into a world of lust, longing, and remarkable destiny. Skye's is a stunning tale that reaches from the emerald hills of Ireland to the lush palaces of Algiers to the helm of a shipping empire, where she will wage her greatest battle for love and vengeance against the crown itself.

Contains mature themes.

AMAZING!!

This is one of Bertrice Small's truly amazing literary works with a brilliant storyline and plot. You will be drawn into this incredible story and unable to put it down. Every detail interwoven with amazing skill. Multiple opportunities for masturbation stimulated by the detailed and descriptive sex scenes.

WARNING

Narrator didn't observe the silent H... resulting in "an Herbal tea" as opposed to "an 'erbal tea"

Mature Themes GRAPHIC: rape, incest, sodomy
As an empath, the grief and horror described in this book and others by this author nearly made me vomit.
If you want to preserve your mental health, DO NOT listen to multiple books by this author in a row.

That being said, I believe it is very historically accurate, the writing is incredibly well done, and the storyline is strangely believable. The ending could have been a little longer or could include an epilogue...

Brilliant

Awesome, awesome story. I enjoyed this from the beginning to the end with the characters being well defined I liked the narration it helped me visualise more and more of the journey they spent together, took me away from this world into a far more enticing place. Not that I’d like to live there esp then!
