About this listen
Trapped in the game. Forced back to level 1. What's next, permadeath?
Sky Realms Online is the largest and most popular Virtual Reality MMORPG ever made. Set amongst the mystical, floating islands of Hankarth, it's played and enjoyed by millions every hour.
Until something goes wrong.
Unable to log out, players find themselves reduced to level one, and in the starting zones. They receive a cryptic message from the developers stating that for unknown reasons, they are trapped in the game and may have to live out their lives within the virtual world.
Hall is one of the those trapped in the game. He’s been playing Sky Realms Online as a spear-wielding Skirmisher ever since the beta. And instead of panicking as many do, he decides to make the most of it; to play the game and live his new life, all while quietly hoping the developers will find a fix.
It doesn’t take Hall long to find out that, while some aspects of the game are the same, the difficulty level is beyond anything he's ever experienced.
Together, with a new party of trapped players and NPCs with canned answers, Hall will find out just how different Sky Realms Online has become, and how playing a game is different from living the game....
Experience the start of this unforgettable LitRPG Adventure today! It's perfect for fans of J.A. Hunter, Dakota Krout, and Edward Brody.
Performed by Pavi Proczko, narrator of Eden's Gate and Continue Online.

Enjoyable
I really enjoyed this and am looking forward to subsequent books, though I can't really qualify why.
I think its just a fun world and has some issues you don't often see in litRPGs. It's easier to identify with Hall than a lot of other protagonists as he's not some 'chosen one'. He's just a regular guy and he doesn't try to be anything else.
I love the fact that we're a whole book in and it hasn't started shoving sexuality and gender politics down my throat (which seems to be the norm lately).
Yes there is a slight lack of direction but it's refreshing not to have the world/galaxy/universe in the balance.
My one gripe is that the author leans toward being over-descriptive. I don't think the reader needs to know the shape, design, and construction materials of every table, chair, and door frame they walk past. Maybe just the poignant bits

Sky Realms Online
This is the first time that I listen to the work of Troy Osgood and I have to say that I enjoyed his work greatly. I found that he a talented and skilled author. And with the voice acting talents and skills of Pacific Proczko who makes the characters and world come alive with the narration.

One player DnD campaign set in a VR world.
Everyone follows the MC, The MC gets lucky again and again, MC saves the realm with his party done.
I can imagine this being the entire series, It honestly doesn't even matter if a realm dies because there are literally thousands of them so no stakes, the mc has no real personality and the party is boring as well.
Its an open ended world building style with shifting goal posts of level caps.
I dont recommend as I gained no enjoyment from this audiobook.
