About this listen

This Sky Brooks Box Set includes books five through seven.

Moon Cursed: Our secrets have been exposed and now we have to deal with the consequences: Friends of the Midwest Pack are missing. Alliances are forming between enemies whose sole intent is to destroy the pack. And a mysterious group is trying to make a power grab using any means possible.

Darkness Unleashed: We've always kept our existence hidden from humans, but when a video of a were-animal in a violent confrontation goes viral, the other denizens take drastic measures to protect themselves from exposure. Alliances are broken and friendships strained as the vampires, witches, and elves all work to protect their own interests.

Midnight Sky: My life has never been simple - and it only keeps getting more complicated. The Alphas, Ethan, and several key players in the otherworld go missing, thrusting me into the position of Elite Alpha and tasking me with finding them. The list of suspects grows as I realize that mating with Ethan has caused allies to become enemies. Will I locate the missing in time or will I be the last Alpha standing?

Fantastic characters and awesome Narrator

The characters come to life. The narrator really does the story justice by creating the persona of each character. I really wish the series didn't end.

Vampires Werewolves and Fairies

I have loved the way this series has matured. I am excited to listen to the next book in the series. Let’s see how Sage grows

Hit and Miss

There are some good aspects with this series. And one glaringly bad one.
Firstly the narrator does a very good job. Lots of characters to voice and she does do them justice.
Storyline was good and as there is always something going on, it keeps you listening.
Most of the characters were well defined and you knew what to expect and where their loyalties lay. Most of the time at least.
My dislikes.......as much as I tried to like the lead character, I couldn't. By the end of the 6th book I was really struggling with her. I honestly only finished as I'd invested so much time into the series I needed to know how it ended.
For a mid to late 20 's year old woman, she was nothing but a self righteous, lying, double standard, hypocritical selfish petulant child. And that's being nice. Some moments of bad assery were drowned out by her childish behaviour . There was so much repetition of behaviours that it just got old real quick.
Could have had some good spicy moments, but what are there wouldn't make your granny blush.
And if I ever here the word "languid" ever again, I'll pour acid in my ears. A thesaurus might come in handy.
