About this listen
A lone survivor embarks on a post-apocalyptic quest for revenge in the seventh installment of this gritty zombie-thriller series.
Killing the sadistic warlord known as the Dog Tongue took everything Gus Berry had, including the woman he loved. Now, all he wants is to get away from the bloody scene of their final showdown. But when he heads west in a stolen truck, a brutal snowstorm forces him to turn back—and seek refuge in the Dog Tongue’s former headquarters.
Though it’s littered with human carnage, the abandoned luxury hotel has a lot to offer a guy like Gus. But in addition to soft beds and working toilets, he encounters still-lurking dangers both living and undead. Determined to destroy the Dog Tongue’s followers once and for all, he resolves to follow their ominous trail wherever it may lead . . .
Combining dystopian suspense and zombie-killing action with complex characters and dark humor, Skull Road is the seventh book in Keith C. Blackmore’s thrilling Mountain Man series—perfect for fans of HBO’s The Last of Us

Skull Road
What more can I say??? I love this series. And in the last two sentences I erupted in tears. What a joyous ending… (& if we do hear from Gus & his entourage again, may it be soon, and as just as entertaining!
Thanks Keith C Blackmore & RC BRAY! You’re a top notch team!

Ending was bad
What a great adventure through the desolate and lifeless plains of Canada interspersed with moments of death defying violence. The setup at Anchor abstract was brilliant. The portrayal of the leather as the bad guys was flawless. Fleeing through the snow was so well written I actually felt cold. But the ending - leave White Cap and start a family with me. Good lord what a disastrous ending to such an amazing story and overall series. Gus should have flocked Mia to the kerb.

Bone-crushing, skull-smashing awesomeness!
Skull Road delivers yet another thrilling installment in my favorite series, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Gus's bone-crushing action and skull-smashing intensity kept me on the edge of my seat, providing the perfect amount of brain-numbing/‘brain-rotting’ (see what I did there ;) escapism I crave. Thanks to Mr. Bray for masterfully bringing these characters to life. A must-listen for any fan of the series!

Legendary
I feel like I waited 47 years for this. It was so worth the wait.
Gus is such a fantastic character and hearing more from him makes me eternally happy. Please don’t let this be the last book because I can’t cope.
Gimme more Gus!!!!

A fitting ending to a long tale.
Like the rest of this series. This book is great. If you've come this far and have been this invested. It's definitely worth it. R.C Bray does a fantastic job narrating as always.
I feel happy for Gus in that "you've finally had your last trip to the dentist" kind of way. There's always a sense of foreboding when Gus inevitably finds himself having a bad time.
That being said. if there are new books in this universe. There's definitely potential for a new story here. Maybe it's time for a new perspective though.

I love Gus.
So I really love the big battered house painter. I started drinking rum down to Gus. Love his story. But. Even tho I love each new adventure without giving anything major away I hope for Gus’s sake this is the last of his adventures. To Gus, the captain and good ole uncle Jack. Oh yes Mr Blackmore and Mr Bray I suppose deserve a mention too.
