Publisher's Summary
A Warhammer Age of Sigmar Audiobook
Beyond the mountain range of the Adamantine Chain, Aqshy lies destroyed. Noxious fires light up the horizon, death skitters in the smoke, and a wasteland of horror threatens the entire realm. Humanity has but a single hope: the Reclusians of the Ruination Chamber. These Stormcast Eternals, though few in number, are the only force capable of enduring the perils of this dark era, for their souls are already broken.
LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE
Experience a desperate race against time as Stormcast Eternals of the Ruination Chamber find themselves fighting not only the scheming and skittering Skaven, but also the cruel realities of their own shattered souls, and inevitable destinies.
THE STORY
Deep in the heart of the Skaven apocalypse, where survival lies on a knife edge, ratmen and Reclusians alike race towards a prize that will turn the tide of war – a lost Stormcast brother. Should the enemy uncover his forbidden knowledge, Aqshy will surely fall, so, for the chosen of Sigmar, failure is not an option.
The journey is long and full of strife, and for the mortal acolytes who accompany the Reclusians – guardians of their memories and faith – it may be the last steps they take. Yet together, they are hope when hope is dying, a truth they all must seize upon. For without it, they are victims of nightmares and shadow, ushering in this new Hour of Ruin.

Very good ! perfect start to AOS 4.0
very muched enjoyed. much like other launch novels they tell a story with the product line in mind. however midway through I really got a feeling for the characters and development. much enjoyed, had elements of soul wars and dominion, with a conection to characters as seen in God eaters son. would recommend to build the mood for AOS 4.O !

Ruination chamber is amazing!
Great book to mark out a new edition of AoS! Reed deliverers another brilliant narration and makes me wanna do Stormcast. My highlight in the book is 100% everything involving the new Ruination chamber and how it functions with its warriors and human allies.
Really hope we see more of them in future Stormcast books and with future models to boot! The lord Terminos is an absolute beat 👀💖

It’s but a while since I got goosebumps
Very nice introduction into the concept of “skaventide”, the characters, the setting, the perspective of different factions paints a nice picture for what’s to come in AoS 4.0.
Some very memorable characters that I’ve enjoyed reading about their thoughts and journey. A couple of unexpected bonds that I thought was fascinating.
The narrator told the story well. The colour performance gave me a good mental picture of how the characters would behave.
As someone who didn’t get much into skaven lore it was a very nice introduction to the nasty cunning skavens. Yes yess yessss
Some plot armour I feel at the end was as slight disappointment to what I would consider fantastic.

Great intro into AoS 4.0
I’m just getting into Age of Sigma and picked the Skaventide box up recently. As I knew nothing of the setting I was looking for something to introduce me to the world. This book did exactly that.
The story was pretty enjoyable, though very straight forward. It was a bit of a let down at the end with some plot armor. Nothing too outrageous but nonetheless quite obvious.
Narrator’s performance was fantastic.
All in all I really enjoyed it for what it was. Great insight into the two factions; stormcast and skaven. Has me hyped to paint up my miniatures and get a game going.
If I was to rate it as a stand alone work and not a supplement to the game I’d knock it back to 3 stars. I liked it, but wasn’t blown away.
