Hans Lyngby Jepsen (1920-2001) var en dansk skønlitteraer forfatter. Hans Lyngby Jepsen blev født på en fattiggård i Aalborg, hvor hans far var forstander. Han flyttede fra byen efter studentereksamen, for at studere på Polyteknisk Laereanstalt i København. Hans Lyngby Jepsen debuterede i 1943 med en novelle i Politiken, i 1945 udkom hans første novellesamling og i 1946 debuterede han som romanforfatter. Hans Lyngby Jepsen har bestridt indflydelsesrige poster i både Dansk Forfatterforening og Danske Skønlitteraere Forfattere. I perioden 1964-88 boede han på Sicilien.
