Publisher's Summary
A silver Wedding means a family gathering - difficult occasions at the best of times. But for the Doyles - Deidre, Desmond and their children Anna, Helen and Brendan - it will be more difficult than most.
For each of them is keeping up a front; each of them is nursing a secret wound, or smarting over a hidden betrayal. As the day draws nearer, so the tension mounts, until finally the guests gather at the silver wedding party itself....

Another great read
In a world that is crazy it is so nice to get lost in a novel like this.

Confusing
I could notget into this book at all, how do the characters interact? Not until the end so you realise why all the stories are relevant.
I really like Maeve Binchy books but this one was disappointing, I am rereading her books but cannot remember this one at all, maybe tried it and gave up after a few chapters.

Always a pleasure to listen to Kate Binchy read a Maeve Binchy story
Maeve Binchy transport the reader to a different place and time. Like peeking into the lives of strangers and becoming part of the story as the characters become so real.

A bit of a disconnected story
The characters all came together just before the end. I kept forgetting who was who during most of the book, as there were several different threads to follow.
