About this listen
A tormented dragon prince. A captured elven assassin. Duty demands they fight for their people, but love has other plans.
Eroan, one of the last elven assassins, lives for one purpose: Kill the queen.
He would have succeeded if not for her last line of defense: Prince Lysander. Now, captured and forced into the queen's harem, Eroan sees another opportunity. Why kill just the queen when he can kill them all? It would be simple, if not for the troubled and alluring dragon prince. A warrior, a killer, and something else...something Eroan finds himself inexplicably drawn to.

AAAHHHHHHHH
I can't believe I put this series off for so long. The tension is beyond intense and I may or may not have startled a few passers-by with my outraged screams. There's so much going on with so many HBO-esque elements of fucked uppery that I'm left dizzy and begging for more.

Triggers made this unenjoyable …
It’s high stakes for elf assassin, Eroan, whose mission is to kill the vicious Dragon Queen. He’s been captured and tortured by the worst of the dragons and the only bright spot is disgraced son of the Queen, Prince Lysander, who hates his mother almost as much as Eroan does. This post-apocalyptic high fantasy / romance(?) looked good on paper but the incest, non-consensual sex, and other unnecessary triggers were major turn-offs for me. I tried but DNF@45% - Cornell Collins’ audio narration was the best thing about this (the first 3 audiobooks are currently free on the Audible Plus catalogue).
