Publisher's Summary

Born in Sadashiv Peth, Pune, Mohan Ranade received a second prize in a story writing competition when he was in the 9th standard and that was the beginning of his hobby as a writer. While studying at the College of Engineering in Karad, he became a ferocious reader. After arriving in the USA in 1974 he joined 'Book Of The Month club' and continued writing. His article in the Maharashtra Times on Indo-US marriages 'Nawara Hava Ameriketla' became famous in the Marathi community in India and US.

In 1978, Mohan Ranade, started a company—AMOSAM Industries—marketing engineering products and Indian music LPs in USA. Later the company under the name of Neelam Audio started producing and distributing Marathi and Classical music and now selling Marathi food products. 'Shewatche Pan' is a book of compilation of his articles, written in a simple yet humorous style, over a 15 year period describing his observations about the way of life and his journey in US and abroad. It is also nicely narrated by Prasad Bharde. Shewatche paan © Mohan Rande 2020
