About this listen

The third novel in six-time New York Times best-selling author Lois H. Gresh’s Sherlock Holmes vs. Cthulhu series.

The obliterating shadow...

The deadly dimensions over London have been sealed, and the monsters have departed. But word has come to Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson of a more terrifying creature still - the great Cthulhu has been sighted off the waters of Innsmouth, Massachusetts. Only Holmes can defeat him.

And in the muddy village of Innsmouth, surrounded by villagers who are more sea-monster than human, Holmes meets again his nemesis, Moriarty, and yet greater foes: Amelia Scarcliffe and Maria Fitzgerald, harbingers of Dagon, who have called forth Cthulhu. Their task: to bring about the end of humankind, and begin the realm of nightmares on Earth.

If you havent anything good to say......HOWEVER

As a big Sherlock Holmes fan, I didn't recognise this version of Sherlock and Watson.
Authentic Sherlock is about the clues and the chase. We went from pillar to post without
the clues and mystery. Take Sherlock out and insert a generic Detective and it would have sufficed.
Not even a shadow of a shadow of the real greatness of Sherlock Holmes. Skip it.

If this is indicative of HP Lovecrafts mythos, then I will give it a massive pass.
Bow wow wow Macaroni :P
Soul draining, WTF, WTF, WTF.
Hated the series and as another said, "I Listened out of spite"
Kept hoping for an improvement that never came.

One of the most ridiculous books I have ever read

After suffering through the first 2 books in this series, I finished this one out of pure spite. Once again characters are inconsistent, almost contradictory in some cases. Hated this series so much, the final book was ridiculous. The conclusion to the story was unsatisfying and once again Dr Watson's family have no real purpose other than to provide a poorly devised emotional connection.
