Publisher's Summary

There is a plot to kidnap Queen Victoria and only Sherlock Holmes can stop it...or can he?

Investigating a crime seemingly unconnected to the Royal Family, Holmes & Watson uncover a conspiracy to kidnap Queen Victoria and destabilise the British Empire.

With a ticking clock to her next public engagement, Holmes and Watson must discover who is behind the plot and locate her majesty, while Mycroft tries to keep the monarch’s disappearance a secret from the British people.

At first, Holmes believes Moriarty is responsible for the abduction, but when the Napoleon of Crime is proved innocent, Holmes must work with his arch-nemesis to rescue the Queen.

A story like no other

I love these books but it’s hard to listen to while doing anything else with all the sound effects used but other then that a great book and narrative

Not Conan Doyle

This is an audio play rather than a reading, with sound effects and multiple actors. Although the actors are all capable, I found some of the action scenes difficult to follow and, despite the noise, the story lacked atmosphere. The writing isn’t a patch on Conan Doyle, and Sherlock’s regular demonstrations of his own cleverness are pretty thin. If you’re looking for a true successor to the original, this isn’t it. Having said that, I only stuck with it for a couple of hours, so perhaps it gets better.

Loved the dramatised performance of this story - kept me engaged throughout the story and felt the characters played by the actors were well done.

Conan Doyle could well have written this storyline. Great small plots working into one Great Plot.
