Great introduction to the larger series

This set of three books in the series contains all of the setup for future stories. Book 3 is really the first full story in this series as Book 1 and 2 were all about the set-up and introduction of the characters. These set-up stories start out quite narrow and you think you know where they are going until the lid blows off with some revelation and the unexpected occurs. All good fun and world-building.
Book 3 (Return to Zero) is where it really takes off. This story had a twisty plot, an old foe, some laughs and suspense and even a moment or two of terror. Declan and Sam work together on a job for the first time and they are a great pair both as lovers and also as partners. This story has set up more mayhem for future stories and I look forward to following their journey.
Gary Furlong's narration is great as he creates the world so well.
