Unexpectedly brilliant. A must listen.
How this book isn’t more hyped… the banter and character development was fantastic and well paced. Can’t wait to listen to book 2.

Eloquently written. Good world building. Clever unpredictable plot. Well performed.
A clever plot, with a cleverly expanding "world". Starting with a house, then a village, then an island of many villages and lastly a multi kingdom universe. This allowed for details to be added as the central characters progressed down the plot line.

Brilliant!!
I absolutely loved this. The narration was fantastic (which is expected given its Elizabeth Evans), and the story… SO good!! Excellent world building and fantastic dialogue. Get it in your ears!

Captivating listen, solid rom- fantasy
grumpy sunshine fantasy with the classic tropes, but on a great foundation of rift gates and crystal shards. not really spicy but cute slow burn love story.

Hidden Gem
This book was fabulous! I stumbled across this book by accident, but I’m glad I did. The characters are well rounded and written well, and the performance was fantastic.

Must read!
This has filled the wound that SJ Maas’s TOG series left in me - finally! What an awesome tale. Love the characters, love the world building, love the plot. Cannot wait to start book 2 straight away.

Fantastic!
Everything I love in a fantasy.
Wasn’t expecting the wit of the FMC had a few giggles.
There’s also great world building.
Definitely go into this blind it’s fantastic.
