Anna survived the attempt to bind her magic, but Anna and her coven aren’t free from danger yet.
Haunted by her aunt’s death, living in fear of her curse, and fated to love the one man she can never have, the last thing Anna needs is a witch hunt. Now she must conceal her magic once more or risk losing everything.
But when deadly hysteria strikes across the capital, and in her own school, the coven are left dangerously exposed. Delving deeper into the magical underworld of London, Anna and her twin sister Effie must find a way to work together to protect the coven.
But as the witch hunt intensifies and the hysteria spirals out of control, can Effie and Anna truly trust each other?

Loved being able to delve into this whole world of magic
Loved the story and narration! I just wished they would have been consistent with some of the pronunciation and Attis’ voice/accent, but still loved it all anyway! Definitely recommend

Book fell short of my expectations
Since I really liked Threadneedle, I couldn't wait to see what happens next but this title fell short of my expectations. Story was unnecessarily dragging and it could've easily fit into 6 to 8 hours listen. Exceptionally annoying thing that I didn't notice in the Threadneedle is how repetitive the story is. Certain sentences and phrases are repeating over and over and over again. One particular sentence was repeated more than 10 times in the first ten to fifteen minutes and continued repeating throughout the book without being crucially important to the story but rather nothing more than irritating. Some parts of the book I simply skimmed through as I didn't see the point and didn't like the predictivne tone of the story. Other parts of the book made me roll my eyes and skip up to 30 seconds of pointless conversations leading nowhere. Main character development was at certain points a bit over the top, trying way too hard to describe her insecurities. Using the voice portraying Ana constantly and through the whole book being at the verge of crying and desperation did not help at all. Apart from that, narration was quite good.
