About this listen
Master Integrative Life Coach shows listeners how to set healthy boundaries for deeper connection and freedom to create life they most want.
Do you feel like you're a "pushover"? Do you let other people make all the plans - letting them pick the movie, the restaurant, or the vacation destination? Does self-care feel selfish to you? And do you find yourself feeling resentful toward others because they don't seem to take your needs into consideration?
Can you relate? If the answer is yes, this is the book for you!
In this book, master coach, speaker, and author Nancy Levin will help you establish clear and healthy boundaries. This isn't easy; many of us don't want to "rock the boat". We assume setting boundaries will lead to conflict. And, unfortunately, by avoiding conflict and not setting limits, we tend to choose long-term unhappiness instead of short-term discomfort.
This book includes exercises and practical tools to help even the most conflict-averse, people-pleasing listeners learn new habits. You'll learn how to recognize and take inventory of your boundaries, view your boundaries differently by creating a Boundary Pyramid, learn how to say "no" effectively, and set your Bottom-Line Boundary. As your supportive guide, Nancy will show you how to gather the courage to live a life of "boundary badassery".
"This work was life-changing for me, and if you're someone who has avoided boundaries for years, it can change your life, too." (Nancy Levin)

Full and frank explanation and guide, for the need, of healthy boundaries.
This was quite wonderful, compelling, and timely. Helpful and practical examples and scripts, to understand and implement. Important for healing and self empowerment. These understandings simplify much, bringing in, greater coherence. Thank you.

Really fantastic book. The information contained is life saving
This is a really great book with lots of really wonderful information contained within. I think some of this information is no less than life-saving. And I really admire the authors openness in sharing her personal life, her research and insights.
Anyone with codependent traits should listen to this book.
The one big flaw with this book is the narration. While it is read well in terms of the word pronunciation, there is a reason why people make a living out of narration. They don’t make a living out of psychology, they make a living out of the narration and the narrator/author should be aware that she is a mental health care worker not a narrator. Narrators have low toned voices without grating nasal tones, they have pleasant voices This is why they are narrators. This Lady’s narration/tone/accent is horrendous on the ear, while her voice would be fine in conversation on an everyday level. Over several hours, in an audio book, it is grating and extremely hard to listen to which is a such a shame because she has so much information that is extremely worthwhile in this book. I am really struggling to get through it. The more I listen the more my mind is distracted by the general pitch/tome and of her voice. A perfect example why authors are not necessarily the best person to read their own works.
