Publisher's Summary

Book two in the magnificent Empire Trilogy by bestselling authors Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts.

Nobody knows how to play the Game of the Council better than Mara of the Acoma. Through bloody political manoeuvring she has become a powerful force within the Empire; but surrounded by deadly rivals, Mara has to be the best simply to stay alive.

But Lady Mara must contend with battles on two fronts: in the hotbed of intrigue and treachery that is the court of Tsurani; and in her heart, where her affection for a barbarian slave from the enemy world of Midkemia leads her to question the principles by which she lives.

Servant of the Empire is the second in Feist and Wurts’ wonderful epic trilogy – one of the most successful fantasy collaborations of all time. The trilogy concludes with the third book, Mistress of the Empire.

Exelent political drama in a fantasy world.

I may have fallen in love with Marq, our heroine, but seeing her prevail and fail and make her way through tsurani politics and tradition is just sooooo amazing, especially if you have read the riftwar saga and daughter of the empire beforehand.

And this book has made me curious what kther works Janny wurst may have that could be worth reading. 🤔

Fantastic follow on story

Great story, well written, well narrated. The story is long but kept me enthralled all the way through. Looking forward to the sequel in the trilogy.

One of the Best Series I’ve Ever Heard / Read

The world built by these authors is captivating, complex and unique. The way that Mara wrestles with it’s strange customs, bends them to protect her and her family and to resist enemies is truly captivating.

Better than the main series

Lady Mara of the Acoma's story is absolutely amazing and I really think it's better than the main story! Her rise from a temple novitiate to one of the most powerful people in the empire was full of sorrow, excitement, dread and triumph. Janny Wurts did a great job of helping write such a complex and and fascinating female character. The whole trilogy is highly recommended!

Excellent

Absolutely love this series, I crossed over from the Riftwar as I wasn't sure which came next in series but then worked it out. Look forward to next book.
