About this listen
On paper, Jordan Cohen has it all. With numerous best sellers under her belt, a number of blockbuster movie adaptations to her credit, and a high-profile relationship with one of Hollywood's most prominent stars, what more could she possibly ask for?
Maybe for Olivia Bradley, the only woman to ever break her heart, to exit her life as quickly as she'd reentered it.
When an ongoing case of writer's block triggers a series of unforeseeable events, Jordan is forced to face the tragedies of her past and reevaluate the life she has been contentedly coasting through. As she reaches a crossroads, she must decide if she'll be able to forgive her former best friend and just how much is she willing to sacrifice in the name of happiness.
Contains mature themes.

I loved the complexity and depth. My absolute favourite book.
I really loved this. I actually think I’ll listen to it again and again. Love, emotions, trying to let go, grief, death, suicide, everything is so complex and unique for each person. Forgiveness is always about us and not the other person, forgiveness means freedom.
I wish there was a spin off with Olivia as the main character, delving into what happened for her. How she dealt with her grief and the insight into her at a deeper level.
Beautifully read, the warmth and kindness and love A.C. brings really makes it.

High school sweethearts but then life happens
I did particularly like this book. It is told through around 3 stages of Olivia + Jordans life. Predominantly around their teenage years 17 or so. Then around their 30s as the reconnect after years of separation. It did feel a little stretched out. I didn't love the reasons for their separation but it is entirely plausible for it to happen. People can be young and stupid some times. Abby Craden is a rock star. I kinda love/hate her because listening to other narrators sucks now. Back to the story. I would recommend a listen. It is full of life, love, sex, hard conversations, longing. In short it is real.

Enjoyed the story line, dragged on towards the end
I really enjoy second chance romances, I especially love when they go back from past to present. The first three quarters of the book was great. I enjoyed understanding what broke up Jordan and Olivia. I loved the family dynamic (both families supportive and fun).
I would have liked the story to end a little earlier. The story dragged on and lacked substance towards the end.
I can not fault Abby Craden - she always brings characters and story to life.

Rubbish unrealistic crap
The most unrealistic rubbish I have ever tried to listen to. If any treated someone that way there would be no forgiveness. The fact that her friends and family were acting that way is another unrealistic load of rubbish.
