About this listen

Fighting for love, loyalty, and freedom on the galaxy’s lawless outer rim...

When Quinn Bennett’s exploration ship is attacked, the security chief finds herself abducted by alien slavers. Unable to save her crew, she is taken across the galaxy and sold to a desert scavenger on the lawless planet of Carthago. Driven by her guilt and failure, she’ll do anything to escape and save the other abductees from her ship. Chained and forced into servitude, she’s waiting for her chance to strike when, across a dusty trading post, she comes face-to-face with a big, cyborg gladiator.

Jaxer Rone’s loyalty is to his imperator - the man who saved him from a lethal cyborg military program. Jax works tirelessly for his gladiatorial house and would die for his fellow cyborgs. His emotional dampeners have never functioned well, but while he feels some emotion, he never lets it get in the way of his duty. Right now, his mission is to find the stolen humans from Earth. But when he rescues the fierce, relentless Quinn, he starts feeling a rush of emotion he’s never experienced before.

Quinn and Jax join forces to track down the aliens holding the other Earth women captive. Side by side, they venture into the desert and uncover a desire hotter than the desert suns. But the aliens who captured Quinn want her back. In order to protect Quinn, will Jax embrace his newfound feelings or shut them off to keep her safe?

Unstoppable Cyborg***

I love this book this whole series, thank you Anna for giving the house of rone's cyborgs their own stories. Jax and Quinn are both loveable characters and both kick ass. It's an unputdownable, exciting, fast paced and exhillirating. Thanks Vivienne Leheny you are wonderful.

so wonderful to be back on cathargo

i finished the gladiator series and drifted back to black ops but have revisited with the house of Rone series. it's stereotyped stories but I love them anyways. you always get good and different plots with the gorgeous alphas and strong women. if you don't mind reading that over and over, just changing the story line then jump in!!!
I'd forgotten how much I love Vivienne Leheny's narration, she does an amazing job of changing voices for the characters she reads.
when I'm done here I'm definately looking for her narration in other titles.

Excellent

Sentinel is the first book in the Galactic Gladiators - House of Rone series and is also set on the world of Carthago and is mostly about Quinn Bennett a human female who was kidnapped off her exploration ship and sold into slavery and Jaxer Rone, a cyborg who is second in command at the House Of Rone. Quinn has been waiting for a chance to escape her captivity when she comes face to face with a big cyborg gladiator and she is instantly attracted to him and the feeling is mutual even if Jaxer isn't sure what emotions are all about. The sparks fly in a big way between these two and as much as Jaxer tries to fight it he can't resist Quinn and they are soon in an explosive relationship in which he gives her untold pleasure and she is teaching him what it is like to be in a relationship. Together with other gladiators from the House Of Rone they embark on a journey to rescue another Earth woman who has suffered terribly in captivity and in doing so the bond between Quinn and Jaxer becomes unbreakable. This book is full of action, humour and scorching romance and is an irresistible combinataion and I really enjoyed it and highly recommend the book and the series as a whole.
