About this listen

Andrea grinned playfully when she talked about flirting with “the sandwich shop poet” as she called him. The same kind of grin I may have had when I began to flirt with him too.

She had talked a lot about this really cute guy before I met him. So, he had quite a buildup in my mind, like a trailer for a movie…I was very curious to see how handsome this person was; Jamison Chevy, the very attractive young guy who was a waiter at Alvin’s a sandwich shop on the university campus.

Jamison, who she told me about, was a poet. Maybe because she was in my English class and knew I wrote poetry too, she thought we should maybe meet each other. Or, maybe because knowing I was gay and suspecting Jamison might have a leaning that way, maybe...she was curious to see how he and I would get along.

We did….
