Exciting and enjoyable
Rather gruesome but realistic descriptions of murdered people contrasted with the Sheriff's true feelings and family life. Characterisation of her associates and less wholesome people was brilliant. To add in a touch if romance made the complex story true to life.

Narration is really bad, story is good.
The narrator ruined Matt, and is very annoying with most characters. these books are great and deserve a better narrator.
