About this listen
Following her best friend’s engagement to Luke Coleman, Everleigh is reevaluating her romantic choices. Her best friend, Charlie, is going to get married for the second time, and Everleigh realizes her longest relationship with a man is with her gay best friend, Chase. She takes a hard look at her attraction to unavailable men and why she can’t seem to commit. She decides it’s time for her to grab her romantic life by the horns and makes a dating pact with Chase. The goal: 10 guys in 10 weeks. Together they devise a plan to meet a new guy a week for 10 weeks to try and find Mr. Right. The only problem with Everleigh’s plan is that the one man who managed to steal her heart and then break it keeps distracting her from finding her soul mate.
Even though Ethan is trying to move on with Everleigh’s high school frenemy, Liz, he continues to find himself drawn to Everleigh. After losing his wife and unborn child in a tragic accident, Ethan let a warm and sympathetic Everleigh slowly bring him back to life. As his employee, she should have been off limits as anything more than a friend, but Ethan had a hard time resisting her gentle charm. And in a weak moment, even though he knew he was far from over Jill’s death, he let their friendship cross the line.
That one night of passion cost him a good friend and a valuable employee. And while he couldn’t deny the heat between them, at the time, he wasn’t ready for her, and he ended up pushing her away and breaking her heart. So why is it now when he is finally in a relationship with a seemingly perfect woman, finding out about Everleigh and Chase’s 10-guys-in-10-days pact is making him crazy?
Suddenly, all he wants to do is sabotage each and every date. As he continues to tell himself that he is just looking out for a friend, it becomes increasingly difficult to ignore the heat that sparks each time they are together.
