Publisher's Summary
Avery Nelson never imagined she’d find herself a hostage in Afghanistan. She isn’t the kind of woman to sit in a corner and cry, but she can’t deny it’s a welcome relief when the Navy SEAL she’s secretly been crushing on back in California suddenly appears to help her out.
Cole “Rex” Kingston has saved his fair share of women over his time as a SEAL, but no mission has ever seemed as important as the one to find nurse Avery Nelson. Digging the woman out of the rubble of a mountainside in Afghanistan hammered home to them both how short life is and they waste no time in acting on their attraction.
But someone isn’t happy that Avery didn’t die while overseas and will do whatever it takes to make sure she doesn’t live to talk about what she might’ve heard and seen while deployed.
Securing Avery is the fifth book in the SEAL of Protection: Legacy Series. Each book is a standalone, with no cliffhanger endings.

so love Susan's overseas ops
I headed away from susan for awhile as I preferred overseas plotlines and we were turning local.
but after listening to riley edwards "Declan" who talked of Avery and her being kidnapped. I had to swing back to Susan's book and listen. now I'm hooked again and I need to see phantom get his ever after.
loved the pace and the steam, although short was in susan stoker style.
loved the strong heroine and how our alphas appreciated her for that.
it was a bit of insta lust meets stockholm syndrome...but is saved by the fact that they were crushing on eachother for months prior.
need to see how phantom goes now with Kalee.
I love Stella bloom and have listened to so many stories with her narration but I have to lean toward Savannah. her male voice inflections are so much more passable, more so than Stella.
I needed the break from Stella especially as she narrated Anna Hacketts Team 52, which I listened to.
fantastic story susan 👏 💜💜😊
