About this listen
Alien fighters bombard Earth's ruins. Cannibalistic aerobics instructors hunt the wastes. The last free survivors struggle against starvation and enslavement. It's become a world where friendship costs too dearly and heroics verge on suicide.
One young man can't resist either until a fed-up AI steals him off the planet. Alone with only a sarcastic, broken-down starship, he braves a whole new verse full of strange new enemies and tech he barely understands.
Help and harm beset him from identical faces, forcing Earth's last free scion to decide who he is, what he holds dear and just how far he'll go to protect both. The right choices could save Earth. The wrong ones could cost galaxies...

Couldn't get into the immature mindset of a teenag
struggled to finish the book. the immature mindset of letting everything live and skating through space like a dumb ass was hard to understand. honestly I had never hated an MC as much as this one. sure 16 year olds have emotions that are all over the place... but this is rediculas. you would think that living through the trials on earth wouldn't have made him grow up? wouldn't his outlook of survival taken precedence?? fight or flight for trauma related issues would not of developed enough to make hard choices? he crys and punishes himself for perceived wrongs at every turn. this book goes into the nope pile for me. Sorry!
