About this listen
Perfect for fans of James Patterson and Karin Slaughter, this is the second gripping instalment of the Sacramento series from Sunday Times best seller Karen Rose. An explosive crime thriller, Say No More will keep you hooked until the final second.
If they ever catch you, say nothing. Admit nothing. Never tell.
Mercy Callahan never thought she'd be able to talk about her past. When she arrives in Sacramento to make peace with her brother, Gideon, and to help find the brutal cult that took away her childhood, she is finally ready to talk. But when Ephraim Burton - the man who made her life a living hell - follows her there, she realises she might never be safe.
Rafe Sokolov would do anything to have Mercy back in his life and would go to any length to protect her.
But when it becomes apparent that Ephraim is more determined than ever to get Mercy back, even Rafe might not be able to stop the trail of destruction he leaves in his wake. As Ephraim draws near, it's clear it's not just Mercy who is in danger; those closest to her are firmly in his sights.
Will Mercy sacrifice herself to help bring Ephraim down? Or will he finally get what he's always wanted?

Disaster after incompetence
This tale of compounding disaster left me doubting the competence of the FBI or any attending police force, I picked obvious holes in the logic and strategy’s of the “good guys” . That said, it was a story, a work of fiction and Joel did a great job telling it, I did skip through the unnecessary “passion” scenes as well but was entertained till the end and will of course listen through to the finale episode and put on more weight as I do, having been tempted so often with the descriptions of delicious food.

Count the murmers
This book was entertaining enough but after listening to the first one I noticed she uses the work murmer a lot... so I counted them for this one. Onto book 3 to see how many are there 🤷🏼♀️

Spoiled by the narration
I am so disappointed. Karen Rose is my favourite author and I have been waiting months for this audiobook to be released. The narration is terrible. The pace, tone, accent, cadence, all of it. I understand that this is a very personal reaction and that others may not agree but I cannot listen to a minute more. I have no doubt the story itself will be of the usual high standard but I’ll have to wait until I have time to actually read it.

Not great
Too long, very slow. Not as good as I had hoped after book 1 in this series.
