About this listen
Nothing worthwhile in life ever comes fast or easy.
Twenty-five years after she first met the Charon MC’s president, Scout, Marie is still waiting for him to realize they’re meant to be together. But instead, he comes to her asking that she hire his ex. Frustrated with his continued rejection, she leaves town for the weekend to clear her head and maybe find a man who’ll help her forget her infatuation.
When Scout first met Marie, she was way too young, and he hadn’t been looking to settle down. Over the years, he’d never bothered to rethink his stance. When he learns Marie has fled town, he panics and realizes he needs to step up and claim what has always been his. Tracking her down, he approaches her at her hotel and the sparks finally fly.
But before they can ride off into the sunset, trouble brews and Scout is taken by an enemy from their past that neither of them had expected. Can they overcome this latest hurdle to finally find their happily ever after? Or are they doomed to always be apart?

another great installment
It was so good to listen to yet another chapter of the Charon mc. I absolutely lovely. Chloe Wren and I am excited to see she has more in the works.
Although it was only four hours long I still enjoyed the exciting plot line of scout and his dilemmas and the way marie stepped up to help him.
There was some sad moments, happy moments and family loyalties. And it was great to hear of past characters that I have listened to in this series. The pace moved along nicely. It didn't stall anywhere. There was some steam and there were great friendships between the MC. Can't wait for the rest.
As for the narrators, absolutely brilliant. I just love David and Tieran. The southern accent and the inflections were absolutely brilliant so enjoyed this whole story.
