About this listen
She's a lone wolf with a cause.
As a volunteer at a shelter for lone shifters - the same one that rescued her - Makenna Wray has dedicated her life to finding homes for its residents. And when she discovers that a teen in her care is related to Ryan Conner, the broody, handsome-as-sin enforcer of the Phoenix Pack, she's eager to help connect the two. She just wasn't prepared to feel a connection of her own.
Lone wolves are loners for a reason - and most of them bad. Or so Ryan assumes until he meets the mysterious Makenna. Quirky and sensual, she seems to enjoy riling him, especially when she refuses to discuss her past. Although there is no mating bond, he's sure she's the one. All he has to do is be patient and wait. But when another pack's sinister Alpha comes sniffing around, threatening Makenna and her shelter, this enforcer is ready to let his wolf off the leash....

****Mind blowing****
This book has me crying and laughing and so many more emotions that evoked from this story. As i said from the previous book, Suzanne tackles stories that still considered to be tabboo and i am so glad for highlighting this issues because it is happening and so many childrens are suffering. Jill Redfield your narrative is mahnificent, i am now one of your biggest fan and hope to listen to more of you. thank you.

Great Narration.
Read through KU whilst also flicking and listening to the audible version too. What a great idea to Read and Listen. Very handy using my headphones when doing stuff around the house. I don’t lose the flow of the story. Will be buying all the audible books over time. I have to say the narrator for this book was one of the best with an enjoyable narration. Lots of inflections and I could tell most of the characters apart. BOOK REVIEW Not a better book in this series. Also has a touchy subject matter involved. Though I loved how the plot played out it just lacked something. Not sure what as the humour was amusing, the characters likeable and the story flowed well. Though we never spent much time with grunting Ryan in previous books, he was always there as part of the pack. I loved how he instantly wanted Zac with his pack. His positive attitude towards Mackenna being his true mate was nice. Makenna, the heroine, I didn’t dislike her, I just didn’t warm to her. Though she was smart mouthed and had character, she just didn’t connect for me. I knew it was her holding back the bond. Loved the Shelter for Loners, wonderful idea but I absolutely hated what happens to Colton. Wasn’t needed. Once again the council show they are corrupt and not there for the shifters best interests. They need replacing. An abused person does not have to become an abuser. The alpha baddie Remy was a sad example of cycling childhood drama. The fact Seline the evil enforcer and Remy were true mates was a terrible waste of what could have been, if he had just dealt with his mother when he grew up. His mother should have been taken out years ago. Unfortunately, she wasn’t. They were all dealt with way too easily. I am reading this series in the correct reading order and have binge read to play catch up between the two packs. We once again have a very similar scenario with Ryan’s parents being wastes of space, the heroine being the main cause of the non-bonding and baddies that are laughable. Read through KU whilst also flicking and listening to the audible version too. I have to say the narrator for this book was one of the best with an enjoyable narration. Lots of inflections and I could tell most of the characters apart.
