About this listen
Death was his art. She would be his masterpiece.
They called him Leonardo - a master skilled in the art of murder. One year ago, Cincinnati was his canvas. A scalpel was his tool. And women were his works-in-progress. FBI profiler Casey McKinley was one of them, a victim of Leonardo's twisted genius. She has the scars - and the nightmares - to prove it.
For Casey, a new city means a life far from the one she left behind in Cincinnati. In San Francisco she finally feels safe. Until a series of eerily familiar slayings plunges her back into Leonardo's game. Now she must catch this clever killer before he can unveil his ultimate masterpiece. Only this time she'll play by a different set of rules - hers.

Found a great new author
I'm really enjoying the books of this author. Her books are convincing and gritty, prepare to be scared 😳

Inconsistent details, boring story.
The story unfolds extremely slowly.
In one line the character can’t open a door, and struggles to close a curtain yet can light a cigarette and open a window.
While the power was out she was able to have a steaming hot shower.
Can’t pick up a hamburger but can hold a spatula to flip a pancake.
Can’t shoot a gun but can hold and use a small pocket knife one handed.
Can’t aim a gun but shoots perfectly when needed.
It bothered me, the state of her hands are a central part of the story and a big deal is made of her inability to use them… except when it’s convenient to the story.
Also, the lawyer starting work on a case without securing a retainer is so far fetched, it’s just sloppy writing and lacks imagination to make the dots within the story connect.
