Jan Stage (f. 1937 - d. 2003) var dansk journalist, digter og forfatter. Han debuterede i 1963 med digtsamlingen "I morgen min ven" og har siden skrevet en raekke bøger - både fag- og skønlitteratur. Som journalist rejste Jan Stage ud og var korrespondent for Information og senere Politiken, hvor han ofte reporterede fra verdens braendpunkter, som borgerkrigen i Libanon. I sit forfatterskab brugte han erfaringen som krigsreporter. Både i sine medrivende spaendingsromaner, men også i reportagebøger, hvor han skildrede krige fra andre vinkler.©2016 Lindhardt og Ringhof

De 14 noveller er ikke skrevet som en samling, nogle har vaeret offentliggjort i aviser, nogle er skitser til romaner, men selv om de ikke fra starten har vaeret ment som en helhed, så er de tilsammen en fuldbåren historie om maend, kvinder, døde drømme og Døden i øvrigt. Konsekvent, skaerende morsomt, råt og smukt gjort.
