About this listen
Someone’s cat is missing and Parker Ferro, San Amaro’s best paranormal PI can’t find it.
When Parker goes looking for the wayward feline, he finds himself facing witches’ familiars, dead bodies, and shadows that move. The further into San Amaro’s underbelly Parker goes looking, the more he realizes that he is heading somewhere completely new. When his mysterious cat is linked to Nick’s dead bodies, Parker is faced with some of his darkest decisions yet.

Cliffhanger
OMG! The book ended on a cliffhanger and a half. Nick had better be okay or I’m going to scream. How do the characters in a book series get to mean so much that an ending that leaves balance on a knife’s edge makes you want to cry? Tremendously good storytelling that’s how. My hats off to both Kai Butler for writing this and Greg Tremblay for such a good performance reading it. Now I need to read the last book in the series asap. I have to now if Nick is okay.

The most epic book yet
The author continues to progress the story with increased stakes and urgency. There are laugh and cry moments and I could not help but feel I was sharing these moments with real life friends.
The narration continues to be exceptional, with one moderate annoyance that throughout the audiobook the sound/voice of Parker suddenly changes, as if it was recorded in a different room, on different equipment, on a different occasion and spliced in. It’s a small thing, but enough to take me out of the moment realising it is in fact an audiobook. If anything, this speaks to Greg’s skill in transporting the listener to another reality.
