Great story, not so great narration
This was my first Sharon Bolton and will definitely be reading more.
The only real issue was the narrator. Her voice was too old for the characters and her emphasis made it sound as if the characters were bored.

Thrilling
A great story with some good twists and turns. Shame about the narrator, she was obviously much older than the age of the main character so it was a challenge at the beginning to get an image of her. Sounds obvious, but narration has such a big impact on an audio book. Who ever casts them should listen to their previous work to see if they are suitable for that particular book.

Interesting story line
Great story line. Draws you in and holds your attention. Found the readers voice very easy to listen to. Recommend to anyone who likes a good thriller

amazing!!
i loved it every chapter was a page turner!!(listening) this is my second book of Sharon Bolton and she is an amazing writer cant wait for my next book of hers!

obviously a first novel
I love this authors books but this is so obviously a first novel.
She even admits she wrote the story before she had even visited the Shetlands
