About this listen
Matteo Amante.
Dangerous. Deadly. And most of all, devastating.
He’s the king of the city. Running the Mafia and ruling the East Coast. He’s at war with his cousin, and I am the casualty.
There is nothing Matteo won’t do to win. He’ll burn everything down to the ground, my hopes and dreams included.
He’s no hero. He’s the handsome devil who will probably kill me in the end.
Falling in love with the enemy can destroy me, especially when he is my husband....

Wowwwww😮😮😮
All these two have gone through but some how a change in their lives bring them together . This union was supposed to be for him to take control but in the end it was a marriage of power and love . And more . Loved Sebastian and Vanessa. They definitely brought this story to life . Perfect ❤️🤎💜🤎💖❤️

A bit of a mess
Wanted to love this and listened till the end, but came away feeling a little robbed of time that could have been better invested in a different story.
I was expecting a fast paced, cliche mafia romance and am usually really into this sort of stuff, but this story was relatively boring and just too far-fetched to make much sense.
The story itself doesn't really go anywhere till the last 2 hours of the audiobook. Everything before that is mostly the pointless inner monologue of the protagonists. Viviana is especially mind numbing as she repeats the same thoughts continuously.
There's also a couple of characters that don't seem well thought out, like their roles and personality get forgotten about or changed. Some characters that were frequent recurrences in the first half of the book aren't even in the last bit of the book. And the motives of the antagonists aren't overly clear despite the subject being broached several times in the book.
Considering what the narrators were working with, I think they did a great job. their words were clear and I think they emoted well. I didn't hear a lot of diversity between characters, but I also didn't feel like everyone sounded the same.
If youre looking for a fast burning, mafia romance, there is better out there
