The author's excellent voice and humour for a difficult and complex issue.

As a brand new English High School teacher in Australia I found this book to be a life libe that I would listen to on the way to and from school. it helped me to analyse and try out behavioural routines in my own classroom and help me recognise what issues were beyond my ability. I am more confident and prepared because of this book.

This book will be the talk in every staff room!

At last, teachers and school leaders have an excellent guide book packed with hundreds of practical suggestions on managing the full spectrum of classroom behaviours written by a former teacher for teachers with Tom’s focus firmly placed on the rights for every student to receive the best education possible and for the rights of every teacher to deliver this in a safe and nurturing environment. Congratulations Tom for this seminal work!
