Warning! incomplete story and no book three!!

I loved these two books, I thought the story was original, quirky and exciting. Loved the different POV's and exploring the other's developing relationships. However, this story is incomplete and as of July 2024 there is no sign I can find that there will ever be a book three. I hate that I can't get closure! From now on I will be careful not to begin a series until it has been completed and published
