About this listen

Imperium Secundus lies revealed as a heretical folly. Terra has not fallen, though it remains inaccessible. Sanguinius, Guilliman and the Lion El’Johnson, the primarchs of the Triumvirate, must reach Terra at all costs. They seek to defend the Emperor and to atone for their sins.

But the Ruinstorm, a galaxy-wide maelstrom of chaos, hides the Throneworld from the primarchs. Now the fleets of three Legions depart Macragge, and the primarchs will stop at nothing to overcome the Ruinstorm. Yet an insidious enemy watches their every move, and plots against the weaknesses of the errant sons of the Emperor. Each has his own inner storm, and each marches towards his own ruin.

This would make a great dawn of war campaign

the book is good, it's got a more episodic feel to it than the others

Unmissable Action and Advancement

Imperium Secundus is over. The Triumvirate forges ahead in an attempt to reach Terra. The trials are unforseen, unexpected and beyond imagination. The Avenging Son, The Lion and The Angel all face their own tests and challenges brought by Chaos. All narrated by Keeble at his best! Can't miss this one!

Absolute banger

Very nice tie off to the Imperium Sicundis story arch,
And sets the pace for the 3 legions of blood angels, dark angels and ultramarines. Story telling is intense and cements the powers of the warp. A nice palette cleanser from marine on marine action, one of my favourite books in the Hersey so far.

A forgettable Odyssey

A somewhat stumbling journey of three Primarchs banging into daemonic obstacles over and over till a final battle.

A couple of good moments, and some decent fluff reveals for Blood Angels fans, but the story was pretty dull IMO. A story with three Primarchs and it was lacking character and excitement.

If you enjoy the random "Its the warp, this is crazy but go with it" over and over that the HH series seems to love lately, you might enjoy it more than me.

Please stop David Annandale

Even with my favourite characters David Annandale puts me to sleep with his story lines. An ok plot but not my favourite author.

The worst Horus Heresy Novel

This novel is a contraindication as it feels bloated as it repeats itself over and over and yet is one of the shortest in the HH series. If the author was struggling with the length maybe he should have written a second draft or at least written a B storyline
