About this listen
From Samantha Towle, the New York Times best-selling author of Wardrobe Malfunction and Breaking Hollywood, comes a dramatically powerful and passionate new contemporary romance.
And the new heavyweight champion of the world is....
Those are the words that Zeus Kincaid has been waiting to hear since he first put on a pair of boxing gloves. He just didn’t think they would come with a tragedy that would change how he viewed the sport forever.
Cameron Reed was in her second year at Juilliard when her childhood sweetheart, Zeus Kincaid, walked away from her. A few months later, Cam realized that she would never fulfill her dream of dancing for the New York City Ballet.
Now working as a dancer in an upscale club in Manhattan, Cam is brought face-to-face with the man she once loved. And it’s her turn to walk away from him.
After five years of missing Cam, Zeus isn’t prepared to let her go again. But when he finds himself standing on her doorstep the next morning, things don’t go quite as he expected....

Ruin
I could not put this down. It was a great second chance romance. It had all the feels and was well written.

Emotional Second Chance Romance
This follows Cam and Zeus. Cam was a Juilliard, had everything she wanted as a dancer and her high school sweetheart Zeus Kincaid. But Zeus walked away from her and this changed her life going forward. Now working as a dancer in a club she has now come face to face with the man she once knew…
This was a gripping storyline. I didn’t know what was going to come. The intimacy these characters have is soul mate energy. I loved how much effort Zeus would put in to trying to make it work. The intimate emotions and spice is my jam for sure! Just a few things though I want to mention. It is a lot of back and fourth on feelings and resisting. There is a narrative to the story that was repeated a lot in the first 45%. Then from 50% onwards was a lot of repetitive intimate moments as well which only got to me a little bit. As one character was very unsure all the way through of the other one it was difficult to understand the big reveal after the fight.

A good story told in her POV
I was expecting dual POV but this book was written entirely from the FMC’s POV except for the prologue. This wasn’t a good thing for me as a listener. But narrators did a great job with their parts, but the format of the story wasn’t for me
