A classic that lives up to its reputation
I am sorry it has taken me too long to read this novel. It's fantastic, and the protagonist is gutsy and funny and just way ahead of her time. Now I need to know much more about Rita Mae Brown! I wasn't sure about Anna Paquin at first, especially as it was odd her reading in the same voice as Sookie from True Blood (and she's a Kiwi) but I was wrong, and she actually brought the character to life and was perfect.
