A mixed review

I had such high hopes for this book, maybe that’s why I felt a bit disappointed. It started out real good, but I ended up feeling a bit immature, but maybe I’m the old one 😂 .. it got some ravenhood vibes, which I didn’t mind.
Female narrator isn’t great, like someone else commented, felt a bit robotic and I didn’t get used to it as the story went on. I like the male narrator though

Came for the male narrator’s voice, was not disappointed.
You need to go in knowing that the FMC is a clueless good girl

It was a good story, I think I’d personally prefer a duet narration instead of a dual narration so it bumped my rating down slightly.

WE ALL NEED A ROOK!

I enjoyed this story so much i binged the whole thing in one go and absolutely fell in love with rook! With regan/rebel I ended up loving her in the end she turned into such a bad bitch absolute slay queen!
I wish we had harper more involved I loved her and would love to have a story about her.
There were some loose ends that didn't quite sit well with me but it wasn't toooo bad of an ending.
Also I wished that the narrators would have done their own lines in eachothers pov I think it would have made the story that much more enjoyable but overall they did amazing and I was giggling and kicking my feet, heart pounding, the works.

Giggly dark romcom! My favourite type of books!

Great book, good plot! I love a giggly dark romcom. Just wish it was narrated duet instead of dual style. I’m hoping there’s more books after this one!
