Publisher's Summary

Can poverty and privilege find a loving compromise?

Alexandre Bonfils, a rich and spoiled second son, is tired of being ignored and decides to help when the family’s exclusive wine business is in trouble. Going undercover in the warehouse, he loves the adventure - and the chance to be close to the sassy and sexy manager Tate Somerton.

Tate is hardworking and financially struggling, bringing up his siblings on his own. A suspected saboteur at work is his latest challenge, but now, he also has a clueless, though very attractive, new intern. There’s an immediate spark between the ill-matched couple, until a shocking accident cuts short Alex’s amateur sleuthing.

While recovering in the generous care of Tate and his family, will Alex realize what belonging really means?

Passion and pride come together to fight for the company they’re both committed to preserving, but can a personal bond remain when the dust settles?

This story offers you a spoiled yet cutely redeemable millionaire, a selfless hero who’s always put his family above his love life, the glamorous world of luxury winemaking, "found" family, a devious gran, a no-nonsense warehouse manager with a hot chocolate addiction, and a saboteur who must be found before disaster strikes!

Author's note: This is the same book as previously published by Dreamspinner Press, but with a new cover and now published by the author.

Undercover boss finds love in the warehouse!

A supremely self-confident and spoiled rich kid, Alexandre Bonfils is a wastrel and his father, sick of his laziness and indifference to the high-end family wine business, fires Alex. The company has been having problems and with nothing to do, Alex decides to go undercover as an intern in the distribution centre. Of course he sticks out like a sore thumb, but he does attract the attention and heart of the conscientious warehouse manager, Tate Somerton. Having lost his parents, Tate and his ailing grandmother are raising the other three kids in the family. Life is busy and money is tight - does he even have room for Alex in his life? I loved the premise but I’ve realised I hate over-confident characters unless fate cuts them down and makes them realise the error of their ways. I disliked Alex from the start and was settling in to hate this story. While Alex does remain annoyingly smug, he also learns, adapts and redeems himself, so I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. However, the timeline on this was ridiculously short. By the end of his first day on the job, he’s repeatedly ignored all of Tate’s protests and wangled himself a date for that evening. Within days they’re an item and within a week or two the whole thing is resolved. Why write the timeframe in such a rushed way? It added to the simplistic and unrealistic feel of the story. I’ve enjoyed Seb Yarrick’s audio narrations before, but there was a halting, stumbling quality to this at times, like his voice was not able to keep up with what he was reading.
